Welcome to Year 6!
After a very strange end to the last academic year, it was great to welcome the class back to begin Year 6 and the 2020-2021 year.
So far this year, as in previous years, much of our learning has been based around books and reading.
The Autumn Term began with the children producing writing and artwork 
based upon the best-selling book ‘The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse’
by Charlie Mackesy. The children enjoyed studying the beautiful illustrations
and the words of inspiration and positivity.
This was followed by work based on
‘The Nowhere Emporium’ by Ross MacKenzie. 
CURRENT TERM – SPRING TERM 2021 
Happy New Year!
Our current learning, both in school and at home, is based on the book ‘Roman Diary – The Journal of Iliona’.
We are learning about life in Roman times and what impact the Roman’s have had on life in Britain.
For the next half-term, we will be exploring the rainforest via Dr Seuss’s classic children’s book, ‘The Lorax.’
I’m looking forward to having all of Year 6 back in school, and hope that this will happen very soon!
