Welcome to Year 2

Our Learning

English is at the heart of our Curriculum.  We teach our pupils to read, write, speak and listen to promote not only enjoyment but also to allow children to participate fully in society.  We give our children opportunities to develop their language skills throughout all aspects of the Curriculum.

Maths  

In Year 2, we follow Archimedes planning, to teach maths. Archimedes plans incorporate the schemes of work produced by White Rose.

Cultural Capital  

We also deliver essential cultural knowledge and understanding through PowerPoint presentations. Each week, children are introduced to new key pieces of music, significant people, landmarks and works of art.

Homework

Homework will be handed out Mondays and is expected back on Fridays.

 PE

Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

Please ensure your child arrives in their PE kit.
